Lobuche Peak expedition
Lobuche Peak expedition overview
Lobuche Peak sits at 6,119m in the Khumbu region of Nepal, offering one of the most rewarding mountaineering experiences the Himalayas has to offer. With some technical sections on the upper mountain, it represents a natural next step for those who are ready to push themselves at serious altitude.
At Vertex Expeditions, we’ve designed this expedition for those taking their first steps into high altitude mountaineering and looking for a genuine challenge to get their teeth into. Lobuche is not a peak you simply walk to the top of the upper mountain introduces you to the technical demands of glacier travel and rope work.
The approach follows the Everest Trail through Sherpa villages, ancient monasteries and the extraordinary landscape of the Khumbu Valley. On summit day, you’ll move with our highly experienced local team onto the upper mountain with Everest, Nuptse and the entire Khumbu massif spread out around you, a hard-earned view, and one of the finest in the Himalayas.
